We can’t all have huge decorative stained windows but we can have little pieces of art in our homes disguised as everyday objects. From color-blocking and geometry, to confetti glass and organic shapes, light can be manipulated through glass in so many ways. These transparent or semi-transparent works encourage us to not only look through, but to look at glass in a new way.įor this issue, we want to see summer pieces inspired by this way of playing with light. Stained glass has been used since ancient times to make the most of natural light, tinting it to create glowing works of art that cast colourful shadows.
